AI Is Here. What Does It Mean for People?

A close reading of 400+ Reddit posts showed that people are really worried about AI in schools. So we reached out to Dr. Torrey Trust, Professor of Learning Technology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with questions about AI grading, cheating, and student development.

But when we looked closely at 400+ depressing headlines pulled from articles published between May 3 and June 1, 2025, a different story emerged—one of wild CEO predictions, media amplification, and companies beginning to regret their AI-driven layoffs.

After analyzing over 2,000 Reddit posts from professional marketing, creative, and technical communities, the only thing we can say for certain is that many of us are feeling uncertain about how we should be using AI.
